Overview At Raleigh General Hospital, we are committed to prioritizing your well‑being so you can provide exceptional care. As a Registered Nurse (RN), Coordinator, you will handle patient‑care planning, support unit coordination, and contribute to quality improvement.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.

Coordinate staff scheduling, education/development activities, and performance evaluations.

Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow.

Perform quality assurance studies and assist with QA/QI initiatives.

Serve as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures.

Monitor departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and Joint Commission requirements.

Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

Provide quality patient care and work other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on‑call.

Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Current RN license in the state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Experience with nursing process, patient care, and unit coordination.

Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in stressful environments.

Proficient in multiple clinical software systems.

Effective written and spoken English communication.

Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

Essential Information

Job Type: Full time, 40 hours per week.

Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, keyboard entry, repetitive hand/arm movements; occasional sitting, squatting, kneeling.

Hazard Exposure: Bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, hazardous medications, latex.
