Job Summary and Qualifications The Mental Health Professional II is to deliver exceptional, patient-focused care by providing supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. Their responsibilities include conducting assessments, offering psycho-education, leading process groups, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic counseling sessions using evidence-based interventions in one-on-one, family, and group therapy.
What you will do in this Role
Conduct one-on-one, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups.
Develop treatment plans and attend treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.
Assess environment and patient’s safety status and report/respond to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition.
Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Patient experience in behavioral health or related field.
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related Human Service field required.
Possess the ability to work 2–8 hour shifts, Saturdays and Sundays; 16 hours/week.
