Position Overview Spice Operator – Immediately Hiring!
Starting Rate: $20 per hour
Hours: Mon – Fri, with weekends off. Day shifts are flexible with mandatory overtime as required.
Location: Cohoes, NY
Bilinski’s Sausage Mfg. Co. is seeking an experienced food manufacturing employee for our spice weighing and blending operations.
Responsibilities
Weigh spices according to recipes in a timely manner to support daily operations of the kitchen.
Maintain spices on a FIFO basis.
Complete necessary batch paperwork accurately for each batch.
Maintain proper identification on all ingredients.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly spice room environment following company policies.
Conduct a weekly rotating spice inventory by Friday of each week.
Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
Must read, write, and perform basic math calculations to accurately measure correct amounts of ingredients.
Basic computer skills; job requires operating a computer and a tablet computer.
Great attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Ability to follow safety standards in an industrial kitchen.
