Summary
Responsible for assisting the Cage Team in ensuring that all accounting activities of the Cage function are performed accurately and efficiently. Also ensures that Cage functions are in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and established policies, procedures and controls. The Cage Supervisor will assist in the guest’s financial needs.
Responsibilities
Issues credit for guests within his/her limits of authority, ensures that the collection and distribution of necessary credit information is handled accurately, efficiently, and discreetly.
Counting in various areas when needed to ensure quality guests service.
Access funds and ensures prompt distribution to appropriate areas of property.
Assists Cage/Credit Manager and Cage Shift Manager with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, which enable Cage/Credit to function more effectively.
Maintains adequate staffing levels by training, scheduling, evaluating, and assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining, and terminating employees, as needed.
Ensures the integrity of all financial data produced by employees under his/her span of control.
Monitors all financial activities on property, which relate to Cage/Credit, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the property, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the property.
Oversees and verifies accuracy and thoroughness of credit research, conducts credit research as needed.
Assists with the coordination of audits relating to bank boards, guest deposits, and rotation logs.
Assists the Cage/Credit employees in understanding the complexities of their responsibilities within the department.
Ensures a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction, with respect to Cage/Credit, is achieved and maintained.
Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all employees under his/her span of control.
Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred. Some college courses in banking and finance or related area preferred.
Minimum of one year experience in casino credit operations or related area.
Must possess excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills, and be extremely numbers-oriented.
Requires a
Level 2 Gaming License .
Additional Requirements Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, write effective reports and memos, and communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group and large group situations.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, compute rate, ratio and percent, and interpret data from graphs.
Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations. Physical Demands – Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, sit, climb, balance and stoop. Requires vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment – Regular exposure to radiation (from computers), moderate noise level in the work environment, increased noise and smoky environment on the casino floor.
