Dispatcher - Roper Hospital Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking an experienced dispatcher to coordinate resources, personnel, and information for efficient operations. The dispatcher receives and processes calls, assigns appropriate personnel (such as service technicians), and relays critical information to field teams while staying calm under pressure.

Primary Function A reliable dispatcher who will be responsible for coordinating resources, personnel, and information to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Essential Job Functions

Use office equipment and Microsoft Office, maintain accurate logs of calls and dispatches.

Enter data in computer systems and maintain records of calls, activities, and other related information.

Provide accurate information and assistance to callers, service technicians, supervisors, and managers.

Follow established guidelines or use best judgment to address unexpected situations, resolve conflicts, and find solutions to ensure smooth operations.

Maintain composure and focus in stressful situations.

Evaluate each call to determine the appropriate level of response needed and prioritize based on severity.

Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing calls and managing various responsibilities.

Build rapport with other team members.

Licensing/Certification

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills

Basic BLS instructor certification a plus.

Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and understandably.

Active listening and strong communication proficiency.

Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations.
