As a CDL Driver at RNDC you will ensure timely and safe delivery of products to our customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. You will also have the opportunity to collect non‑cash payments as necessary. In this role you will
Properly conduct a pre‑ and post‑trip inspection, noting any vehicle defects. Abide by the DOT hours of service rules and regulations for your license type. Prepare for the potential of dedicated overnight routes. Accurately deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet or hand‑stack from the delivery truck and place said merchandise into the customer account. Verify receipt of the correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtain the customer signature and payment if necessary. Ensure physical security of the truck at all times. Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily; up to 30 accounts during periods of increased activity. Cover approximately 160 miles daily, with occasional increases to 200–300 miles during high activity or out‑of‑town routes. Possibility to work with one or more helpers. Provide feedback to transportation management regarding route changes or concerns. Possibly utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours‑of‑service software or driver‑monitoring programs. What you bring to RNDC
High school diploma or GED. Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Current Class B CDL driver’s license (Class A CDL license also allowed and may be required for positions based on location). Ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements. Valid DOT medical certification card and the ability to file appropriately with the state Motor Vehicle Department. Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) license, as required by state regulations.
