Job Title Senior Aircraft Technician – Electrical Backshop
Location Columbus, MS
Job Description As a Senior Aircraft Technician, you will learn and perform work as an electrical installer in the build‑up and fabrication of electrical harnesses and components for use on aircraft. You will work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards and ensuring safety compliance.
Responsibilities
Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams and standards in the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical components.
Lay‑in route wires on form board, tie, lace, and apply appropriate anti‑chaff protection.
Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains and electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and diodes.
Solder connectors, contacts and components.
Complete forms and records related to the completion of assigned work.
Instruct and mentor less experienced technicians.
Troubleshoot and rework discrepancies and faults.
Assist with A/C electrical installation: lay‑in harnesses, terminate on the A/C production line, and modify wiring for retrofit systems.
Perform additional duties Tallinn assigned by management.
Education
HS diploma or equivalent (Required)
Aviation trade training (Preferred)
Experience
Minimum of six (6) years related aviation electrical experience (Required)

Licensure / Certifications

FCC (Preferred)
Travel
5% domestic and international travel (Required)
Citizenship / Security
US person under ITAR definition: U.S. citizen, green card holder, or individual covered by our existing ITAR license (Required)

Qualified Skills
Basic computer skills
Read, interpret, and follow written technical data
Familiarity with common aviation-type tooling
Physical Requirements
Vision: must see full spectrum of color and read computer screens and engineering drawings
Hearing: able to hear conversations and safety warnings on the production floor
Speaking: able to speak in meetings and provide information
Equipment operation: operate personal computer, telephone, fax machine, and production tools such as hydraulic lifts
Carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling: carry, lift, and move up to 30 lb/14 kg with small office furniture and tools
Sitting, squatting/kneeling, standing, walking: perform typical office and production tasks for long periods
Travel: able to travel independently and on short notice
