Bilingual Referral Coordinator – Remote (VSP)
CenterWell Senior Primary Care is hiring a bilingual referral coordinator to schedule and pre‑register patients for exams and procedures with specialists and providers outside of the primary care office.
Pay Range : $40,000.00–$52,300.00 per year (Base pay range; actual pay depends on skills and experience).
Working hours : Monday to Friday, 8 AM–5 PM.
Job responsibilities:
Prepares and processes all managed care referral paperwork.
Gathers pertinent information from physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to complete referrals.
Contacts various offices/facilities to obtain necessary appointments for referrals.
Maintains referral records and documentation.
Responds to patient inquiries regarding health plan referrals.
Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
Required qualifications:
1–3 years of hands‑on healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably with Medicare population.
Referral experience is mandatory.
Proficiency in medical terminology.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with electronic medical records.
Excellent professional communication skills at all levels.
Bilingual in English & Spanish.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or related field.
Knowledge of ICD‑10 and CPT coding.
Certifications related to healthcare (e.g., Medical Assistant).
Additional information:
Work‑at‑home: Must provide high‑speed DSL or cable modem (minimum 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload). Satellite/Wireless Internet not allowed.
Vaccination requirement for on‑site work: Unvaccinated associates must undergo weekly COVID testing or wear mask at all times at Humana facilities or while working in the field.
Proof of vaccination or weekly testing required if not vaccinated.
