Recruiting Coordinator @ iWorld Professionals | MBA, CRM iWorld Professionals is seeking a Production Supervisor for our client, a growing national manufacturing company in the Rochester NY area. This is a hands‑on leadership role perfect for a motivated leader who enjoys being on the shop floor, developing teams and has a keen eye for driving high‑quality, performance results.
The Production Supervisor will direct and support the team members to meet customer requirements. You will work on planning, reporting, and continuous improvement in manufacturing and safety processes.
Lead day‑to‑day production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery goals
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and compliance with OSHA requirements
Build a positive, team‑oriented work environment through effective leadership and communication
Manage staffing needs, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR
Ensure employees are properly trained; maintain accurate training documentation
Develop and execute weekly production plans aligned with customer demand
Assign daily work, balance labor, and adjust staffing as needed to support production priorities
Monitor and manage department expenses within budget
Production Supervisor Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Background in assembly and/or machine shop operations preferred
Strong people‑leadership and team‑development skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with ERP systems a plus
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
