At Publix, ensuring operational continuity during utility disruptions is essential to serving our customers and supporting our associates. The Corporate Maintenance Program Specialist plays a key role in supporting the daily functions of the retail Generator Program, helping to ensure all generator assets are properly maintained, operationally ready, and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. This position partners closely with service contractors and the Corporate Maintenance Management Team to coordinate preventative maintenance, manage administrative processes, document program objectives, and support emergency response efforts during storms and other natural disasters—helping Publix remain prepared, resilient, and responsive in all conditions.
Base pay range $41,000.00/yr - $57,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Actively assisting in the daily functions of the Generator Program Service Contractors
Performing administrative support for the Maintenance Management Team, including receiving all SAP purchase orders for projects and scheduled maintenance
Documenting and maintaining Generator Program objectives and deliverables
Being an active member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during storms and other natural disasters, to include assisting with the coordination of:
Scheduling of the generator program suppliers
Transportation and staging of mobile generators
Generator failures follow through of repairs
Scheduling and monitoring the emergency fueling activities
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or its equivalent
2 years’ experience within Publix or 2 years general office experience, preferably in the power generation
General knowledge of Power Generation
Knowledge of Supplier Management
Knowledge of project management principles and techniques
Analytical skills
Willingness to work a variable work schedule including nights, holidays and weekends in certain instances.
Willingness to travel to stores, divisions, suppliers and manufacturers.
Intermediate computer skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Basic knowledge of Service Hub
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Business or any other analytical discipline
3 years’ experience in administrative office in a Facilities department and 2 years’ experience in power generation
Knowledge of Publix Organizational Structure
Knowledge of Sourcing Processes
Knowledge of Publix Structured Writing
Advanced computer skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
Intermediate knowledge of SAP

Year End Bonus To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
