Field Engineer

to join a dedicated and hard-working team for a large project in Syracuse, NY.

Pay Range Base pay range: $68,000.00/yr – $74,000.00/yr.

Job Functions

Evaluate and analyze construction plans

Review shop drawing submittals

Measure and track quantities of work in place

Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations

Solve moderately complex problems

Assist with creation of functional project schedules meeting desired deadlines

Maintain organized project records

Be dedicated to safety and maintaining a healthy work environment

Be able to work independently and as part of a team

Perform a variety of tasks that may include periodically having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as backup spotting and hear and react to backup alarms per safety protocol

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or environmental engineering

Knowledge of business concepts and accounting

1-3 years' experience, internships, or co-ops in a heavy civil environment

Strong work ethic

Self‑motivated

Proficient computer skills

Values teamwork & communication

Must pass pre‑employment drug screen

Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time

Position will require travel

Compensation Field Engineer I – Range of Pay: $68,000 – $74,000 Field Engineer II – Range of Pay: $75,000 – $80,000 Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications, other credentials, overtime when applicable, and other factors.
