Commercial Construction Foreman (GCCM)

Overview Kelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many states across the United States. We offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of commercial construction including restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast food chains, large design-build expansions and general office renovation. We also have broad experience in industrial construction, from liquid storage and containment and petroleum related construction to pre‑engineered metal buildings and concrete construction.
Summary Individual will supervise field personnel for the GCCM division, on the jobsite. Also, will be responsible to assist Superintendents in performing construction, repair activities of buildings, as well as other related construction projects. Foreman will lead construction crew on self-performing work and will coordinate all activities with project Superintendent.
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading safety of his/her employees at all times. This includes but not limited to knowing/enforcing safety rules, proper equipment procedures while on the jobsite.
Ensures that all employees under his or her direction are wearing ALL required safety garments, gear, such as hard hats, proper gloves, flame resistant clothing, air monitors and safety glasses at all times.
Acts as the assistant to the Superintendent.
Lead, and train crew, and set quality standards.
Identify, issue and problem, and then execute a corrective path to bring resolution.
Ensures that projects are completed safely, of highest quality, on time and within budget.
Must serve as back‑up to the Superintendent/s.
All other duties that are assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Some skill trade training is a plus.
Must be able to read and interpret plans and work instructions.
Must have basic computer and analytical skills.
Physical Demands
Lifting, bending, squatting, filing, etc. (whatever the position demands that are physical in nature).
