Role Description This is a part‑time, on‑site role for a Swim Instructor located in San Bernardino, CA. The Swim Instructor will be responsible for teaching swim lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, following YMCA guidelines. Additional duties include ensuring the safety of participants, monitoring the pool area, and promoting water safety. The role also involves assisting with general aquatics activities and maintaining a clean and safe aquatics environment.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Swim Instruction and Swim Lessons, with the ability to tailor lessons to varying age groups and skill levels
Strong skills in Swimming and understanding of Aquatics best practices
Experience or certification in Lifeguarding to ensure the safety of all participants
Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults
CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety certifications are highly preferred
Previous experience teaching swim lessons or working in aquatics is a plus
