About This Role Middlebridge School is seeking candidates for the position of Residential Instructor ( both Live-In and Non-Live-In available ). Join us to be part of a dynamic, vibrant, and welcoming community! The Residential Instructors (RI) are responsible for supervising the dorm, providing one-on-one instruction, and offering guidance related to independent living and interpersonal skills. They work collaboratively with other Residential Instructors to facilitate the individual goals of the students. The RI acts as a mentor, role model, teacher, counselor, and coach in all areas of the residential program and is expected to be committed to the success of each student, particularly in areas such as social and emotional development.
Responsibilities The residential program includes opportunities to design and teach a variety of after-school elective classes ranging from athletics, arts, and cultural activities to volunteer and community service programs. Residential staff are also responsible for facilitating and overseeing weekend programming when on-duty and supervising recreational activities both on and off-campus as assigned.
The Residential Instructor position does require that the staff reside within the dormitory periodically through the week and during a rotation of assigned weekends. Residential Staff are required to work some assigned weekends throughout the Academic School Year.
