Full-Time | Boarding School | Coastal Location Middlebridge School, an independent boarding school dedicated to serving bright, neurodiverse students, seeks a full-time Psychology Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025–2026 academic year. The Psychology Teacher will deliver a high school-level psychology curriculum adapted to individual learning profiles. With small class sizes and a highly collaborative team of educators and specialists, the ideal candidate will embrace differentiated instruction, cultivate student engagement, and contribute meaningfully to the life of our community. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities: Teach psychology to high school students in classes of 6–10, emphasizing relevance, curiosity, and self-awareness Design and adapt curriculum to support varied learning needs and styles Partner closely with learning specialists and advisors to individualize instruction and assessment Serve as a mentor to students within the school’s boarding community. Attend all school meetings and in-services Meet regularly with supervisor(s) Assess students’ performance periodically throughout the semester Develop and implement daily lesson plans Adhere to all school policies and procedures Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field; Master’s degree and/or teaching certification preferred Prior experience teaching adolescents, particularly students with learning differences, in an independent or special education setting Demonstrated expertise in student-centered, inclusive instructional practices Commitment to collaboration, innovation, and mission-driven education Enthusiasm for working in a residential boarding school environment WHEN APPLYING TO THIS POSITION: Three (3) professional references Click on the blue buttonto apply to this job , with the subject linePsychology Teacher Application—[Your Name].
