Position Summary Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and evaluating the Admitting/Registration, Central Scheduling and Point of Service Collections (Patient Access Services) staff’s educational needs for the Texas/Oklahoma Market, comprising a total of 24 facilities. In addition, responsible for the creation, development, and implementation of education programs to address the needs and requirements of Patient Access staff. Works with TX-OK Market/facilities to schedule training.

In addition, responsible for the creation, development, and implementation of education programs to address the needs and requirements of Patient Access staff. Works with TX-OK Market/facilities to schedule training.

Qualifications

Ten (10) years of experience in the medical field including registration and/or patient accounting required.

Three (3) year minimum in educating and training staff.

Computer proficiency including spreadsheet, database, Microsoft Office applications, TalkDesk, Patient Management System and Patient Accounting System.

Must be knowledgeable in the Patient Access Service procedures including patient access and patient accounting system, insurance benefits and eligibility, managed-care carriers/plans and medical terminology.

Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all age groups.

Education / Licensure

Bachelor’s Degree required or will accept ten (10) years’ relevant work experience in lieu of degree, plus management experience as required above.

High School Diploma or GED required.
