Salary Range Level III, Step 2 per Para Educator Agreement: $22.91 (Current hourly para rate of pay if employed with ISD 624.)

Start Date Programs start June 11, 2026
Pre-Summer training on June 8-10, 2026
Evening paid informational meetings the weeks of May 14, 21, 28, 2026
Work Week We are looking for paraprofessionals to support our students with special needs who will be attending the Extended Day and FLEX summer programs. Programs are open from 7:00am to 5:30pm weekdays from June through August. This position has a variety of schedules available, including schedules up to 40 hours a week.
Position Summary The Extended Day and FLEX programs provide enrichment opportunities for youth with diverse interests, talents, and perspectives. This position performs intermediate human support work by supporting students with special needs individually and in small or larger groups. Responsibilities also include encouraging and modeling appropriate student conduct, speech, attire, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Out of School Time Site Supervisor.
Education and /or Experience
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children
Associates/Technical degree preferred.
Special Requirements
Must hold AA/AS degree, completed 60 semester credits, approved competency portfolio or pass MN Parapro test
Valid driver's license
Certified in First Aid/CPR upon hire
Training in Blood Borne Pathogens upon hire
Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention upon hire
Department of Human Services training upon hire
