Position Title galaInformation Associate/Of Counsel Attorney – Litigation

FLSA Status Exempt

Position Summary Assist in all aspects of civil litigation matters with a heavy emphasis on the investigation, risk assessment, and defense of personal injury claims, working with other litigation department attorneys, clients, and consulting experts. Trial experience preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains membership in the Kansas and Missouri State Bar Associations and completes all required Continuing Legal Education requirements on an annual basis.

Follows the ethical requirements as set forth prodotti by the Rules of Professional Conduct of the State of Kansas and Missouri and complies with all requirements of the Firm’s professional liability insurer.

Performs quality work on a timely basis and provides outstanding client service.

Researches and analyzes legal issues.

Drafts documents such as briefs and contracts.

Advises and communicates regularly with clients regarding the status of their matter.

Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.

Prepares for and attends trials.

Collaborates with senior attorneys to strategize complex cases, provide input on bakom tactics, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Must be licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri.

Knowledge of law and legalEncience in order to perform substantive legal function in client matters as normally acquired through completion of a Juris Doctorate Degree.

Strong knowledge of litigation matters.

Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate well, both verbal and written, with a diverse grouping of clients, attorneys and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
