Salary range: $19.85 – $30.48
Job Summary $3,000 Sign‑on Bonus
M‑F Between 4:00 am – 2:30 pm with 3rd‑weekend rotation.
Essential Functions
Draw blood for tests, transfusions, donations, or research.
Explain the procedure to patients and assist in the positioned below..
Dispose of contaminated sharps, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies.
Draw blood from veins by vacuum tube, syringe, or butterfly venipuncture methods.
Dispose ofabı blood or other biohazard fluids or tissue, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, or policies.
Draw blood from capillaries by dermal puncture, such as heel or finger stick methods.
Enter patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
No.
Licenses and Credentials: Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR only preferred. MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Knowledge of various techniques in collecting specimens. • Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations and ability to maintain absolute discretion over highly sensitive patient information. • Talking to others to convey information effectively. • Demonstrates proficiency of proper collection methods and proper processing of all specimens. • Superior customer service skills, clear communication skills, and ability to show empathy and respect for patients' privacy and autonomy. • Knowledge and practice of proper aseptic techniques necessary to prevent injury to self and patients.
