Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ACT program. The role focuses on providing nursing services to adults with mental illness and substance use disorder in Hamilton County, Ohio.

Position Summary – RN
Provides direct services to patients within a psychiatric nursing focus
Administers medication education, including names, dosages, actions, side effects, and interactions
Promotes holistic healthcare in collaboration with other disciplines; coordinates with primary care and medical specialists for chronic conditions
Performs mental and physical health examinations related to symptoms and psychiatric medications
Administers psychiatric medications, including injections
Tracks client medication refills and injection dates, assessing effectiveness and side effects
Assists in obtaining psychiatric medications when necessary
May serve as a coordinator for patient care issues in collaboration with other disciplines
Position Responsibilities – LPN
Perform duties under the direction of medical prescribers, psychiatric prescribers, and/or RN
Vitals, phlebotomy, point‑of‑care labs, testing, vaccinations, and psychiatric medication administration
Assist physicians with patient exams and/or treatment; obtain vital signs and draw laboratory specimens
Provide education and training to staff, family members, and significant patient supports related to illness, disease, and medications
Requirements
Licensure by the Ohio Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
Experience working with individuals who have substance use disorders and/or co‑occurring disorders is preferred but not required; selected candidates must be open to training
