Job Summary Under supervision, perform routine duties in the preparation and serving of food in a snack bar or food service program. Maintain food service areas, facilities, and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition and perform related tasks as required.
Essential Elements Provide lead assistance to student helpers and food service workers; lift and transport quantities of food or ingredients; operate standard food service equipment; follow food preparation, health, and sanitation requirements; learn proper methods of heating and handling food; receive and handle money; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships; utilize a computer.
Requirements / Qualifications
Food Handler’s Certificate
Minimum six months’ experience in a related field
Equivalent to completion of twelfth grade
