Job Purpose The Warehouse Supervisor manages daily warehouse operations, including scheduling departmental hours, inbound and outbound loading, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping. The role drives continuous improvement, assigns priorities across labor, documentation, and customer demands, and reports to the Director of Warehouse Ops.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure all local drivers have their freight loaded.

Process and distribute paperwork from the previous day to the appropriate departments.

Track warehouse customers' inventory via computer systems and physical counts.

Collaborate with third‑party logistics to meet or exceed customer needs.

Schedule outside carriers for customer orders as directed.

Manage warehouse personnel and schedules, including training, coaching, and employee relations.

Enforce procedures for warehouse customers and retain dock procedures for RJW customers.

Manage warehouse space and maintain cleanliness at all times.

Handle billing for all warehouse customers, except Klockner.

Provide production and labor planning with supervisors and lead daily status updates to meet labor needs and best practices.

Perform daily facility AIB walk‑throughs.

Monitor and maintain daily productivity levels in the department.

Approve FTE and temp time and attendance, monitor attendance and overtime.

Communicate with warehouse supervisors to ensure labor needs and best practices are met; outsource temp labor as needed.

Maintain positive customer service interactions with internal customers (HR, sales, logistics, operations, etc.).

Maintain equipment maintenance on a weekly basis.

Attend all strategic leadership meetings weekly.

Track monthly KPIs and produce facility updates and warehouse reporting.

Conduct quarterly performance reviews, set team goals, and project forecasting.

Participate in P&L reviews.

Qualifications

Excellent communication, written and verbal, in English.

5 or more years of warehouse management experience.

Ability to report, track trending, and analyze historical data.

Strong business writing and case analysis skills.

Advanced mathematics and financial skills.

Experience in inventory control and transportation warehouse operations.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint); data entry and general computer literacy.

Experience in warehouse safety and safety training.

College degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Activate phone systems using keyboards and buttons.

Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.

Work in an indoor/office environment; sit and use repetitive hand motion.

Talk, hear, stand and walk frequently.

Work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.

Work under stressful situations with good cognitive skills and maintain work accuracy while multitasking.

Read and discern visual images on various media with corrected 20/20 vision.

Hear speech within the normal range of 30 db at 500 to 2000 Hz.

Speak and communicate clearly over the telephone.

Be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician; no evidence of controlled substance use.

Work Environment Employees are occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Noise levels range from quiet to moderately loud.
