Position Summary West Virginia University Health System (SMG) seeks a part‑time Hospitalist Physician. The successful candidate will be expected to practice at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.
Duties
Practice in the areas of Internal Medicine.
Provide excellent patient care.
Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
State medical license and DEA registration (required by start date).
Completed Internal Medicine residency program.
Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine.
All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Hospital overview Grant Memorial Hospital is a 25‑bed critical access hospital located in Petersburg, West Virginia. Founded in 1958, it serves a multi‑county area offering a 24/7, 13‑bed Emergency Department; Surgical Care Clinic; Orthopedic Clinic; Cancer Center; Primary Care Clinic; and the only Birthing Center in a five‑county region. Petersburg is a progressive and picturesque community located in the Potomac Highlands, known for its world‑class trout fishing and hiking opportunities.
