Hotel Maintenance Technician (Experienced)

Element by Westin Chattanooga is seeking an
experienced Hotel Maintenance Technician
to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our guests while upholding Marriott brand standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in hotel maintenance operations with strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain proper pool chemical levels.
Perform backwashing and vacuuming.
Ensure pool area cleanliness and safety compliance.
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) in guest rooms and throughout the property.
Change HVAC/AC filters throughout the building.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and correct issues before they impact guests.
Standard hotel plumbing repairs including plunging and unclogging toilets, repairing or replacing sinks and fixtures, addressing minor leaks and drainage issues.
Maintain outside areas including patio spaces and parking lot; remove debris and ensure clean, safe exterior conditions; assist with general property upkeep.
Change and remove trash throughout the hotel; assist with maintaining cleanliness in back-of-house areas.
Utilize Quore to enter and track preventive maintenance, work orders, and assigned tasks; accurately document completed work and follow up on outstanding issues.
Provide professional, courteous customer service to guests and team members; respond promptly to maintenance requests with a guest-first mindset; perform additional duties as assigned when operational needs require.
Qualifications
Previous hotel or hospitality maintenance experience required.
Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC basics, pool maintenance, and preventive maintenance programs.
Experience using Quore or similar hotel maintenance software preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must be reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and communication.
