Quality Custom Distribution
Warehouse Associate – Fontana, CA
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be a key player in our warehouse team, helping to move, manage, and deliver products efficiently and safely. You will load trailers, pick orders, and lead associates in a fast‑paced, multi‑temperature environment focused on accuracy, teamwork, and safety.
Responsibilities
Safely operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts – forklift certification required).
Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy of orders and product quality.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards.
Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory.
Follow QIP, sanitation policies, and safety protocols.
Loader Specific Duties
Load and unload trailers efficiently and safely.
Secure pallets for shipment and verify shipping documentation.
Assist dock operations, including staging and organizing shipments.
Selector (Picker) Duties
Use handheld scanners to pick and pack customer orders accurately.
Conduct cycle counts and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
Follow FEFO (First Expired, First Out) procedures for food products.
Qualifications
Experience working in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred.
Forklift certification and at least 6 months of safe operation experience (preferred).
Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation.
Strong reading and math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation.
Use of a voice‑directed picking system (VoCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders.
Schedule & Benefits
Full‑time, on‑site in a temperature‑controlled warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer: –5 °F to 38 °F).
Primarily a 4‑day work week; shifts typically start between 4 AM and 5 PM; weekend and holiday availability required.
Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
$26/hour; weekly pay (every Friday).
