Maintenance Technician

Location & Shift Aurora, CO – 2nd shift (1:30 pm – 10:30 pm)
Base Pay $28.00/hr – $28.00/hr
Overview Barton Supply is a member of the Kodiak Building Partners and has been supplying contractors and other customers with quality construction material since 1973. The company is Colorado‑based and specializes in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication, rebar, and concrete construction accessories for commercial and residential projects. We also fabricate stairs, rails, and miscellaneous steel items. We are currently hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to handle day‑to‑day troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial machinery, ensuring that colleagues have the best physical resources to complete their duties. The team will keep equipment, buildings, machinery, and grounds in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
Conduct inspections
Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions
Replace parts and components
Welding & fabrication skills including MIG, ARC, OAW
Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, and other drainage problems
Electrical experience with DC low voltage, 120 V, 240 V and 480 V. A/C including lockout/tagout procedures
Interpersonal skills to interact with other employees
Attention to detail to ensure all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and potential hazards or warning signs are not overlooked
Qualifications
Safety‑oriented
Knowledge and/or background in crane repair
Knowledge of C.N.C. (Computer Numerical Control) – preferred
Written and verbal communication in English
Reliable transportation to arrive on time and when needed
Experience with 3‑phase power
Experience with V.F.D. (Variable Frequency Drives)
Experience with P.L.C. (Programmable Ladder Controllers)
Overhead crane experience
Work in a manufacturing environment – willing to work inside and outside, in both hot and cold conditions
Ability to be on feet all day, indoors and outdoors
Ability to carry/lift up to 75 pounds on occasion
Capable of working 40 feet above the ground (no fear of heights)
2–5 years’ experience as an Industrial Technician
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Proactive, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated
