Description
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports providers in delivering high-quality patient care within our ENT and Allergy specialty practices. This role is responsible for clinical and administrative support, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment.
Clinical Support
Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
Assist providers during ENT and Allergy examinations and procedures
Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies
Perform in-office testing (e.g., allergy testing support, audiology prep, nasal endoscopy prep, injections, nebulizer treatments, as applicable)
Administer medications and injections per provider orders and scope of practice
Ensure proper sterilization and infection control procedures
Patient Care & Communication
Educate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up instructions
Provide compassionate, professional care to a diverse patient population
Answer clinical questions within scope and route concerns appropriately
Administrative & Documentation Support
Accurately document patient information in the EMR
Assist with referrals, authorizations, and prescription refills Maintain accurate and timely charting
Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Clinic Flow & Team Collaboration
Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations
Communicate effectively with providers, front desk staff, and leadership
Assist with inventory management and supply restocking
Requirements
Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required
Previous experience in ENT, Allergy, or specialty practice preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
Proficiency with EMR systems
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Skills & Competencies

Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) a plus
