Facilities Maintenance Technician
Join the Drug Plastics Family as our Facilities Maintenance Technician! This is an hourly, first shift position working Monday thru Friday 7:00 a‑4:00 p. Perks include a clean environment, vacation, sick and holiday leave, and eligibility for benefits the month following hire.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation and performance of all equipment related to the efficient operation of the Corporate Office and is accountable for the entire repair and service work of electrical units and other power equipment in the facility.

Major Areas of Responsibility
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Detect malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and repair them.
Maintain a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted.
Report damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervisor.
Specific Responsibilities
Perform and document preventative maintenance on primary process and support equipment.
Maintain chlorine solution and chlorinators.
Change air‑conditioner filters.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems.
Monitor, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, chillers, chiller tank pumps and air dryers.
Perform gearbox and cylinder repairs.
Conduct a weekly and monthly fire protection inspection and maintain related equipment.
Prepare for and install machinery and equipment.
Perform building and ground maintenance.
Maintain outside sprinkler system.
Maintain all equipment and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
Job Requirements
Broad theoretical knowledge and mechanical experience in hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
Ability to utilize all electrical testing and repair equipment.
Good mathematical skills for shop calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Strong command of the written language, including technical manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and produce reports.
Understanding and effective use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Demonstrated ability to make well‑thought‑out decisions and ensure appropriate courses of action are taken.
Education and Experience
2 to 3 years of mechanical experience as a maintenance mechanic required.
Industrial maintenance degree or certificate, or similar education a plus.
Plastics industry experience a plus.
