Maintenance Technician The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair. This role performs troubleshooting and repair of all production equipment including injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers. The technician also troubleshoots and repairs facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, Reverse Osmosis units, water filtration equipment, and carries out general plant maintenance. The maintenance technician works directly with machine operators, supervisors, preventative maintenance mechanics, and senior maintenance technicians to resolve mechanical issues that arise during shift and proposes solutions to complex and recurring problems to senior mechanics and management. \ Essential Functions

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.

Repair facilities equipment, fixtures, conveyors, and other plant equipment.

Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagara’s defined processes.

Maintain industrial control systems.

Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.

May fill in for production operator as needed.

Create and record repairs throughout shift; complete required work order paperwork and document parts and material usage.

Follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation; wear required personal protective equipment.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure equipment and facility uptime.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

4 Years experience in a field or similar maintenance environment.

4 Years experience in a maintenance position.

4 Years experience managing people or projects.

*Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

Demonstrated skills:

Effective communication across multiple departments.

Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

Skilled in shop equipment: hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill, lathe, and assorted power tools.

Proficient with precision measuring equipment: calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, depth gauges.

Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific plant or machine center.

Own toolbox and basic tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

6 Years experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.

6 Years experience in a maintenance position.

6 Years experience managing people or projects.

*Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

Preferred industrial background such as high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, plastics. Preferred technologies include VFD, servo drives, rotary equipment, thermodynamics, Krones/Sidel/Husky equipment, HVAC, etc.
