BayCare is currently searching for our newest Acute Speech Therapist who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. St. Joseph’s Hospital is well known for its advanced medical technologies and outstanding patient care, with more than 70 specialties represented among our medical teams. Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.
Qualifications
CCC‑SLP (Speech Language Pathology)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Speech Therapy License
Master’s degree in Speech Therapy
1 year of related clinical experience is preferred
Location & Details Facility: BayCare Health System, Rehab Services Main‑SJH
Location: St. Joseph’s Main Hospital – Tampa, FL
Status: Full Time, Exempt, No
Shift Hours: 4 (10 hr) shifts Tues‑Fri or Wed – Sat (preferred)
Weekend Work: Every Other
On Call: No
Remote Work: Never
