Overview Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing sonographic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomical data under the direction of the Medical Director.
Responsibilities
Operate ultrasound unit.
Assist with invasive procedures using ultrasound guidance.
Communicate with the multidisciplinary clinical team on technical aspects of patient care.
Participate as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
Provide excellent customer service for patients/families/representatives and other members of the treatment team.
Perform ultrasound evaluations in accordance with AIUM protocols and departmental standards.
Evaluate images/findings to rule out abnormalities and communicate findings according to departmental standards.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements: 2 years specialized training required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Certification: Certificate Vocational Training; Graduate of Ultrasound Certificate Program required.
One year clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
ARDMS Certified required at time of hire.
Travel: Up to 10%.
Additional Duties: Additional duties as assigned may vary.
