Finance Manager - Project Controls & Treasury (Industrial Engineering)
The Finance Manager is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing financial reporting, project-based accounting, bonding support, and treasury management for U.S. operations within an industrial engineering, manufacturing, and project execution environment. This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity across complex, long-term, contract-driven engineering projects and supporting scalable growth in a private-equity-backed organization. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and present accurate financial and statutory reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in compliance with US GAAP. Lead the FP&A process, providing forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations aligned with
industrial engineering project lifecycles . Own project accounting and project financial controls for industrial projects:
Percentage-of-completion revenue recognition Cost-to-complete and margin forecasting Job profitability analysis Change order, claims, and risk tracking
Oversee
bonding and surety-related financial requirements , including:
Preparation and presentation of detailed work-in-progress (WIP) schedules Coordination with sureties, banks, and external advisors Support of bonding capacity assessments for industrial engineering projects Manage the external audit process and act as primary liaison with auditors, lenders, and bonding agents.
Serve as a key member of the U.S. Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning, operational performance, and growth initiatives. Drive process optimization, internal controls, and system improvements across finance, project controls, and shared services. Ensure exceptional internal customer service through oversight of Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Project Accounting functions. Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and IT to enhance
project cost controls, financial visibility, and management information systems . Oversee financial management of capital and contract-based projects, monitoring cash flow, working capital, profitability, and risk exposure. Lead cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and treasury management activities. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to finance and project accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with the Group CFO and Head of Group Finance to optimize regional performance and support acquisitions and organic growth. Required Qualifications
CPA designation required. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred). Significant experience in
industrial engineering, EPC, manufacturing, construction, or project-driven technical environments . Deep expertise in
project-based / contract accounting , including long-term engineering contracts. Demonstrated experience supporting
bonding, surety relationships, and WIP reporting . Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition for long-term contracts. Prior experience as a Senior Finance Manager, Director of Finance, or Head of Finance within a
U.S.-based, private-equity-backed
organization. Experience leading Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Project Accounting teams. Proven ability to scale finance operations and lead change in a technically complex, project-oriented business. Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (SAGE experience preferred). Strong analytical, financial modeling, and business partnering skills. Core Expectations
