A rapidly growing healthcare organization is seeking a Controller to lead financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, and performance monitoring across a high‑growth hospital system on Florida’s West Coast. This position will oversee accounting functions, support leadership decision‑making, and guide the organization through continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Direct month‑end/quarter‑end close and ensure accurate financial reporting
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments
Manage general ledger activity, labor and productivity analysis, and financial modeling
Oversee payroll, AP, purchasing, and core accounting operations
Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard system assets
Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare reporting standards
Provide financial leadership to executives and clinical operations teams
Mentor, develop, and lead accounting staff
Support capital budgeting, cost analysis, and special initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
6+ years of progressive acute‑care hospital accounting experience
Strong understanding of operational finance within a hospital environment
Demonstrated success managing close cycles, budgeting, and internal controls
Ability to partner with operational and executive leaders
Compensation $140,000–$170,000 base salary, plus bonus and relocation assistance
