Office Assistant II, Bilingual – Health & Human Services (Behavioral Health & Recovery Services)
About the Position Eligible list recruitment for a temporary (6‑month) Office Assistant II position. The role supports front‑desk and medical‑records operations at the San Rafael, Novato, and Greenbrae BHRS clinics. On‑site work is required, and travel between BHRS clinic locations within Marin County is expected.
Responsibilities
Greet and check in clients for their appointments.
Answer phones and respond to client inquiries.
Reschedule and update appointments as needed.
Provide client appointment reminders via email or phone.
Enter data into spreadsheets and the electronic health record system.
Maintain clinic records and supply inventory.
Coordinate conference‑room use and general office logistics.
Assist the medical‑records team and support clinical staff.
Provide backup support to Office Assistant III staff when required.
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum one year of clerical/office support experience, ideally in a medical or clinic setting.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and other standard office applications.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.
Bilingual Requirement Full proficiency in Spanish and English is required. A bilingual proficiency exam will be administered prior to appointment.
Professional Development & Certification Bilingual proficiency testing, Live Scan fingerprinting, and completion of Disaster Service Worker training are part of the employment process.
