Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's team onsite. This role is responsible for processing multi-state payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery and have a strong understanding of payroll tax laws, deductions, and compliance requirements across various states.

Base Pay Range $75,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Process end-to-end multi-state, bi-weekly/weekly/semi-monthly payroll for 6000+ employees.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and company policies.

Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, garnishments, and deductions.

Prepare and file payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings (e.g., 941s, W-2s, 1099s).

Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate benefits, deductions, and timekeeping data.

Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and assist in month-end close processes.

Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.

Stay up to date on changes in payroll laws and regulations across multiple states.

Assist in audits, including internal, external, and governmental audits.

Qualifications

3+ years of payroll experience, with a strong focus on multi-state payroll processing.

Knowledge of payroll tax regulations at federal, state, and local levels.

Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

ADP preferred.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
