We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer for a client in the area. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services to support business operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage purchasing activities for assigned commodities or categories.
Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors.
Issue purchase orders and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and align procurement strategies.
Resolve supplier-related issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
Industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment procurement experience preferred.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Ability to travel.
