Job Summary Senior Facility Specialist leads space planning of interior and exterior design layouts for all facilities to meet internal customer needs. This position leads, designs, and coordinates the installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) required for new building and remodeling projects. This role manages all phases of a facilities services project.
What You Will Do
Listen to customer requirements, analyze existing conditions, and understand present and future space needs and adjacency requirements.
Develop schematic floor plans, project cost, and schedule.
Work with architect/engineering (A/E) firms to develop construction documents, furniture plans, and specifications.
Update project costs and regularly report project budget status.
Maintain AutoCAD floor plans of all buildings, including evacuation and emergency maps.
Maintain the software application associated with facility rooms and employee data.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and ADA regulations.
Assist with the development and implementation of strategic facility plans, including improvements, programs, and building and furniture standards and make recommendations for improvements.
Coordinate moves, adds, and change requests among departments to ensure compliance with company policies and successful move transitions. May oversee the work of less experienced planners.
Engage in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s Values and help deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Emphasis in interior design, facility management, or related area Preferred
Certification Certified Facility Manager and/or National Council for Interior Design Qualification designation Preferred
Required Experience
5 years of experience in commercial interior design and office furniture systems.
Facility or project management experience.
Other Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Demonstrated understanding of space planning processes related to office layout and facilities.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, AutoCAD, and project management).
Demonstrated ability to use knowledge of CAFM software.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $110,000
