Job Requirements And Duties
Responsible for everything that happens during a shift: cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
Follow all policies and procedures 100% of the time and set an example for the crew.
Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, scheduling, image standards, customer service, attendance & punctuality, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
Training Orientation and on‑the‑job training will be provided.
Communication Skills
Provide clear written instructions.
Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide, possibly using a calculator.
Give correct monetary change.
Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Enter orders using a keyboard or touchscreen.
Navigate to locate addresses within the delivery area.
Navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Physical Requirements
Standing:
Most tasks are performed standing; surfaces include ceramic tile, linoleum, and walk‑in cooler.
Walking:
Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel must travel between store and vehicle.
Sitting:
Paperwork normally on a desk or table.
Lifting:
Bulk deliveries unloaded by hand truck; cases up to 50 lbs (3' x 1.5') lifted and stacked up to 72" high.
Carrying:
Large cans (3 lbs 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), pizza dough trays (12 lbs each), and delivery items while walking and climbing.
Pushing:
Trays on dollies require up to 7.5 lbs force.
Climbing:
Infrequent stairs or ladders for maintenance; delivery may require multiple flights of stairs.
Stooping / Bending:
Forward bending at the pizza assembly station; repeated continuously during the day.
Crouching / Squatting:
Occasional use to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching:
Continuous up, down, and forward reaching; above 72" occasionally.
Driving:
Deliver pizzas within a designated area; multiple deliveries per shift.
Hand Tasks:
Eye‑hand coordination, frequent use of hands for dough, pizza peel, cutter, etc.
Tools:
Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and peel.
Requires
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle available for delivery.
