Job Summary The Registered Nurse Newborn Screen Program Coordinator applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of complex patients and programs in a comprehensive manner. Provides consultative services and actively seeks opportunities to collaborate with the health care team. Recognizes complex learning needs and consistently demonstrates effective patient and staff education. Demonstrates and role models effective communication to coordinate patient and family‑centered care. Facilitates appropriate follow up care and/or refers patients (within the designated patient population) to the appropriate next level or site of care. Serves in an advocacy role on behalf of patients, families, staff, and caregivers to ensure safe, equitable healthcare provision. Ensures evidence‑based care and continuously monitors patient and program outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to Board of Nursing standards.
