Gary Beardsley Automotive, Sandy, Utah, United States, 84092
A-Level Automotive Technician
Good tools. Good people. Bad jokes. Strong work ethic required. We’re looking for an experienced A-Level Tech who stays sharp, works with purpose, and doesn’t confuse the shop with a hang out. This is a focused, well‑run operation where effort still matters and your skills are trusted—not micromanaged. You’ll handle real diagnostic work, earn strong pay, and work with a team that moves fast, stays professional, and skips the chaos.
Fit Right In If You
Like staying busy and productive during work hours
Understand that phones are for breaks, not bays
Don’t need extra breaks to get through the day
Believe 'lazy' is not a personality trait—it’s a choice
Appreciate a shop where everyone carries their share
Can enjoy sarcasm, laughs, and good‑natured banter without drama
This Probably Isn’t for You If
You struggle staying focused during the workday
You need frequent unscheduled breaks to reset
You expect others to pick up your slack
You prefer excuses over solutions (No hard feelings—just not our style.)
Responsibilities
Perform
advanced vehicle diagnostics
and repairs on electrical, drivability, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems
Maintain
strong flat‑rate efficiency
while delivering quality workmanship
Manage workflow independently with minimal supervision
Stay focused and productive during scheduled work hours
Limit phone use to breaks and maintain professional work habits
Follow shop processes to ensure consistent throughput
Perform thorough inspections and document findings accurately
Qualifications
7+ years of hands‑on automotive experience
Strong A-level diagnostic skills (electrical, drivability, complex issues)
ASE certifications preferred
Ability to work independently without constant oversight
Pride in efficiency, accuracy, and pulling your weight
A solid sense of humor (dad jokes strongly encouraged)
Compensation $120,000 per year
