Main Responsibilities
Promotes safety programs to ensure safe work practices
Creates and conducts remote and on‑site training in all aspects of Safety
Provides support of timely reporting and investigating of all reported safety incidents as well as trend analyses to determine root cause issues
Inspects and audits NOAM plants to identify and address potential safety hazards and to ensure compliance with Safety policies and procedures
Assists NOAM plants in creating responses to all governmental bodies
Manages and audits contractors on site (as needed)
Ensures internal HSE policies and practices are current and appropriate
Schedules regional Safety meetings/program reviews across all locations
Provides leadership, coaching and mentoring of other Safety team members
Address specific reporting and record‑keeping requirements of OSHA, EPA, etc., as well as other pertinent safety/regulatory compliance as directed by HS&E Manager
What Makes You Great Education: HS Diploma and/or minimum two years advanced studies, preferred
Minimum three years working experience in general industry required
Minimum two years full‑time working experience in the Safety field required
Skills
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail
Proficient in Adobe, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Knowledgeable of mechanical (maintenance) systems and food grade regulatory compliance
Prioritize work assignments among conflicting demands
Adapt to changing work environments
Communicate with site personnel (frontline and supervision)
Build collaborative relationships
Handle moderately complex issues and problems, refer more complex issues to HSE Manager
Influence others
Pursue educational opportunities to maintain competence in Safety field
