About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Swim Team Coach to support our competitive swim program in Lansdale, PA. This role is ideal for someone passionate about swimming, youth development, and teamwork, and who enjoys helping athletes grow both in and out of the pool.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Coach with planning and conducting swim practices
Provide technical instruction and feedback on all four strokes, starts, and turns
Help create a positive, safe, and motivating team environment
Supervise swimmers during practices and at meets
Assist with meet preparation, warm-ups, and race strategy
Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff
Model professionalism, sportsmanship, and respect at all times
Qualifications
Competitive swimming and/or coaching experience required
Strong knowledge of swim techniques and training principles
Ability to work well with swimmers of varying ages and skill levels
CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (or willingness to obtain)
USA Swimming Coach certification preferred
Dependable, organized, and positive attitude
Practices and Meets The swim season runs from Memorial Day until the first week in August. Meets are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings in June and July, as well as a few Saturday invitationals. Regular attendance for these events is required. Preseason meetings may be required.
