CNC Machinist Operator – 2nd Shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Agawam, MA)
Base pay range:
$24.00 /hr – $33.65 /hr .

Position Purpose Produce small to medium‑size precision machined parts by operating computer numerical control (CNC) lathes, milling machines, and bridgeports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Load, operate, clean and maintain CNC machines and other shop equipment.
Ensure parts are made to specification to achieve customer satisfaction.
Verify settings by measuring specifications on workpieces.
Maintain specifications through accurate observation of drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread‑chasing operations.
Take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, and adjust and reprogram controls.
Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Follow all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma (or GED) and at least 1 year of job‑specific experience.
Basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
English reading, speaking and understanding proficiency sufficient to follow instructions.
Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment.
Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) to comply with ITAR and EAR regulations.
Environmental Conditions Employees are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and may encounter fumes, airborne particles and vibrations.
