Primary Care Sales Consultant – Savannah, GA

Purpose Primary Care Sales Consultant (SC) is accountable for implementing the sales strategies for an approved Cardiorenal product and driving launch activities for an anticipated menopause launch. Responsibilities include driving demand, clinical education, and sales by developing, coordinating, and implementing a strategic business plan for Primary Care Physicians in the community settings. The position reports to the CVR Area General Manager and is part of the Area Customer Squad, collaborating with Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, and other internal partners to drive US Pharma outcomes. The coverage span is within the Savannah, GA metro area with up to 50% travel.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Build and develop professional relationships with primary care and pharmacy staff within assigned customers.
Drive utilization of approved cardiovascular and menopause products, working closely with the Customer Squad.
Leverage expertise in the diabetes and menopause marketplace and market competitors to anticipate and manage opportunities and challenges.
Provide input to commercial colleagues on strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region.
Develop and implement customer‑specific business plans and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
Prioritize coverage to target physician specialists based on opportunity and potential.
Understand customers’ product and business needs while adhering to Bayer ethics and compliance standards.
Anticipate barriers to goal achievement and propose solutions.
Handle objections and exceed customer expectations; may train peers in the region.
Use emerging technologies to enhance performance and improve proficiency.
Comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and maintain high ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in competitive landscapes.
Proven high performance track record in a sales role.
Proven ability to build long‑standing customer relationships.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Leadership that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies.
Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree is a plus.
Five years of successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical sales experience in competitive landscapes.
In‑depth knowledge in cardiovascular, diabetes, or menopause disease states.
Product launch experience.
Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
Virtual sales experience.
Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of the local market.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $120,960.00 – $181,440.00, with possible bonus or commission. Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, and more.
