Mayvin seeks a skilled
Paralegal SME
to provide analytical, research, and administrative support within a high-visibility legal and legislative environment. Working under the supervision of the Task Lead (Attorney), the Paralegal assists in researching statutory and regulatory issues, drafting legal documentation, and maintaining organized, accurate records that support executive-level decision-making. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion in handling sensitive information, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
As a senior leader, the candidate will also provide direction to more junior team members and support the Program Management Office in ensuring smooth and consistent service delivery throughout the organization.

Must have an Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal and legislative research to support policy, compliance, and statutory matters
Draft, proof, and format legal research, correspondence, reports, and summaries of findings
Review and cite applicable laws, regulations, and policy documents to ensure compliance and consistency
Maintain case files, document repositories, and correspondence logs in accordance with classification and record-keeping standards
Track and coordinate Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) actions, ensuring timely responses and documentation
Assist with the preparation of briefings, presentations, and legal summaries for leadership and external stakeholders
Support review and coordination of congressional inquiries, oversight requests, and compliance Submissions
Manage task trackers, schedules, and workflow tools to ensure deliverable timeliness and accuracy
Collaborate closely with attorneys, analysts, and program staff to ensure seamless information flow and quality assurance
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure adherence to all legal, ethical, and security protocols
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field and Paralegal Certificate or equivalent professional training preferred
10+ years of relevant experience providing legal, legislative, or compliance support within government, defense, or national-security programs
Candidates must maintain a Professional Demeanor and are expected to dress professionally in support of the client
Demonstrated proficiency in legal research, document management, and drafting of legal or policy materials
Strong understanding of federal regulatory and legislative processes, including statutory interpretation and records management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise, well-structured legal materials
Strong organizational and task-tracking abilities; able to manage multiple concurrent priorities
Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office suite
Professional demeanor, reliability, and discretion in all interactions
