PWT, Burlington, WA is seeking an Electrician to work in our automated engineered wood manufacturing plant. Process centers are on a 24/7 operating schedule. We are currently hiring for night shift. We offer competitive wages and an excellent benefit package.
Salary Range- $26.00- $46.00/hr DOE Summary/Objective The maintenance electrician’s primary purpose is installing, maintaining, upgrading, and fabricating machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial establishment. The position is full time, 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as motors, frequency drives, electronic devices, and instrumentation. Install low and high voltage wiring in various raceways including conduit and cable trays. Work with galvanized rigid conduit including sizing, cutting, threading, bending, and installing. Understanding of how to use and interpret a digital multimeter for troubleshooting and safety. Work with multiple power sources and ability to safely isolate required circuits when troubleshooting or repairing. Ability to navigate PLC ladder logic to aid in troubleshooting process failures. Understand appropriate sizing of feeder branch circuit protection, power supply, circuit wiring, overload protection, and conduit fill. Lubrication of machinery and equipment Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantle and reassemble machinery or equipment using a variety of different tools such as hammers, wrenches, pry bars, and basic hand tools. Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and forklifts. Climb and work from ladders and operate and work from boom lifts. May perform many duties of general and other skilled labor. Work with other electricians, millwrights, machinists, and programmers. Able and willing to train others. Other duties as assigned Knowledge of basic math and measuring skills Good at adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety risks Working knowledge of mechanical technical skills to effectively read documents such as specifications, manuals, and blueprints. Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine and process issues. Ability to be a team player. Basic understanding of NEC Preferred Education and Experience 3-5 years electrical experience in an industrial environment Associate of applied science in Electrical Technology
