Overview The Finance Business & Technology (FBT) organization at bp is modernizing and digitizing finance activities. The FP&A team plays a critical role in driving end‑to‑end process control and compliance while delivering best‑in‑class financial insights and analysis to support business decisions. As a FP&A Business Performance Advisor /Manager, you will operate accounting, reporting and control activities, lead a high‑performing finance team, and interface with Embedded Finance to ensure seamless integration of business context across bp.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Collaborate with business and embedded finance teams to lead planning activities, including budgets, financial forecasts, and resource allocation.
Partner with local finance leadership to deliver business planning and performance reporting processes.
Ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with group policies; investigate non‑compliance and support audit activities.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to standardize and simplify processes, including automation of financial products.
Lead a large team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative culture and coaching team members.
Work across geographies to earn trust, share context, and establish effective ways of working.
Qualifications & Experience
Business/Finance or Engineering degree level or equivalent.
Master’s Degree or post‑graduate qualification in a finance field (MBA, CA) – preferred.
15+ years of relevant post‑degree experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in the Oil & Gas industry or related sectors.
Deep knowledge of planning, performance management, and control processes.
Strategic thinking with the ability to drive business performance in economic and strategic terms.
Strong people leadership – coaching, mentoring, and developing a high‑performance team.
Excellent analytical and communication skills with a focus on delivering clear insights to senior leadership.
