Job Overview Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. In this Manufacturing Trainer role, the individual will work with employees to complete the assigned training program and work directly on the manufacturing floor, training employees on the requirements of manufacturing Arthrex, Inc. product. The position is located in our Ave Maria, FL manufacturing location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze needs, establish learning objectives, design, develop, market and deliver training programs and other learning and development services, specialized workshops, including technical math courses for manufacturing personnel.

Support QMS Training Initiatives and use of the SuccessFactors LMS for training and assessment content delivery.

Research alternative learning delivery methods such as computer-based and satellite training programs and implement programs that meet Arthrex Manufacturing's learning and development needs.

Market programs, review utilization records and participant evaluations.

Support Arthrex learning initiatives with local educational institutions.

Support train‑the‑trainer programs for division, department and job‑specific trainers as identified throughout the organization.

Identify and implement competency models and recommend and deliver integrated learning and development tools and programs.

Assist in reviewing vendor training programs and materials; make recommendations for purchasing new programs and conduct these programs upon request.

Participate in other strategic initiatives and assume additional responsibilities as requested.

Oversee the production of course materials.

Responsible for development of class curriculums and schedules.

Create a database and reports to track class attendance and program certification.

Evaluate current training programs for web‑based training potential and work with the creator of the program to map out migration or development path.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent (required).

7 years CNC machining experience (required).

3 years experience as a Trainer, Lead or Instructor in a manufacturing environment or related training/teaching/instruction experience (required).

Knowledge, Skills and Specialized Training

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and interact effectively with all organizational levels.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to teach/instruct a multitude of technical classes and engage participants maintaining a professional learning environment.

Machine, Tools and Equipment Skills

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Expertise in Swiss Turn, CNC milling and conventional lathes and mills (required).

Metrology experience a plus.

Language and Communication Skills Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment The job is performed in a general office or open cubicle/workstation environment. Noise level is usually moderate.
