Job Summary
The incumbent is a member of the healthcare team who is accountable for providing technical and/or supportive services under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse/Supervisor/Clinical Coordinator in the Operating Room. May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations, such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts to or within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure.
Responsibilities
Provide technical and/or supportive services under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse/Supervisor/Clinical Coordinator in the Operating Room.
Access and distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations to patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure.
Respond to on-call duties with a 30‑minute response time, including overnight (18:30–06:45), weekends (07:00–07:00 24‑hr), and holidays (07:00–07:00 24‑hr) as needed and float to OPSC Wymark as needed.
Requirements
Operating Room Technician in an acute care setting or graduate from an accredited surgical technology program with an externship at Methodist Hospital main Operating Room in lieu of one year experience.
BLS certification from AHA.

It has 1,120 employees, 283 medical staff, and 29 Emergency Department beds. The hospital also operates the Bruceville Terrace skilled nursing facility with 171 beds.
Pay Range $41.57 - $47.09 /hour
