About the Role As a District Sales Manager, you will play a critical leadership role, guiding and developing high-performing territory teams to achieve and exceed sales objectives. You will drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and execute strategic initiatives across a defined geographic district. Working closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional partners, you will help position advanced diabetes solutions as a preferred choice for healthcare providers and patients.
Responsibilities
Set Business Strategy
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to anticipate customer needs and adapt sales strategies
Develop and execute district sales plans aligned with market conditions and organizational objectives
Identify growth opportunities and risks, ensuring teams are positioned to succeed
Equip teams with strong product, clinical, and industry knowledge to confidently address customer needs
Lead and Develop Others
Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing field sales and clinical support teams
Coach and mentor team members on sales strategy, territory execution, and clinical support aligned with overall commercial goals
Provide regular performance feedback and support professional development
Ensure compliance with promotional guidelines, credentialing, and training requirements
Build Collaborative Relationships
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers in diabetes care
Understand customer expectations, address challenges, and deliver tailored solutions
Partner with cross‑functional colleagues to support seamless execution and customer experience
Manage the District
Oversee field execution and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Use data and analytics to drive informed decisions and improve territory performance
Prioritize district resources to focus on highest-impact opportunities
Maintain accurate CRM data and customer insights
Manage budgets, resources, and operational responsibilities across the district
Support customer training initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of sales experience in medical devices or a related healthcare field
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience leading a field-based sales team
Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets
Established relationships with endocrinologists and primary care providers
Prior diabetes, clinical, or industry-specific training
Required Skills
Strong business acumen with the ability to create and execute strategic sales plans
Solid understanding of reimbursement, insurance access, and account management
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical device sales compliance
Proven leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
